In the first half of the year, Longquan City delivered a remarkable foreign trade export performance: the city's total export volume reached 2.36 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 59.4%, with the growth rate ranking among the top in Lishui City. Against the backdrop of pressure on global trade and a complex and volatile external environment, this achievement demonstrates the strong resilience and vitality of "Made in Longquan", injecting strong impetus into steady economic growth.

"The strong foreign trade figures in Longquan are attributable to the continuous technological innovation of enterprises. Many enterprises have successfully won over overseas markets with strong product competitiveness," analyzed an official from the Longquan Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology. In the first half of the year, the structure of Longquan's export products was further optimized, with auto parts and bamboo & wood products becoming star export items, growing by 16.4% and 36.3% respectively. Among them, auto parts exports reached 1.03 billion yuan, up 16.4% year-on-year, accounting for 43.7% of the city's total export value.
In recent days, workers at Zhejiang Fanghong Air Conditioning Equipment Co., Ltd. have been rushing to fulfill export orders for automotive air conditioning mufflers. "Since last year, we have successively developed and launched new products such as PTC heater housings, aluminum substrates, and air conditioning pipeline mufflers, driving sustained order growth in the North American and European markets," said Wang Mingyue, Deputy General Manager of the company. The enterprise has actively seized market opportunities brought by the rapid development of its specialized sector, and with the development strategy of "stable quality + stable customers + product innovation", its export volume rose by 20% in the first half of the year.
Like Fanghong, Zhejiang Chuangli Automotive Air Conditioning Co., Ltd. has also competed successfully in the export market through new product R&D. According to Jiang Shuilang, the company's Business Manager, it has carried out in-depth cooperation with domestic OEMs since 2020, forming a product matrix of nearly 1,000 items covering heavy-duty vehicles, medium-sized buses and engineering vehicles. "On average, we develop one new product every two days, with an annual output of over 200 new products. This R&D speed keeps us competitive in the market," Jiang said. At present, the company's product applications have expanded from traditional automotive air conditioning to new tracks such as new energy vehicles and cold chain logistics. By selecting high-end customer groups, it has established a more risk-resistant cooperation network.

While auto parts manufacturers in Longquan are gaining popularity overseas, local bamboo and wood enterprises have also continued to open up foreign trade channels by shifting to the new track of "substituting bamboo for plastic". "In the first half of the year, our export volume rose by about 30% year-on-year. Two key developed products, bamboo panels and bamboo structural building materials, performed exceptionally well, bringing in orders exceeding 20 million yuan," said Xiang Bo, Finance Manager of Longquan Yilong Bamboo and Wood Development Co., Ltd. The company has diversified its layout to mitigate risks from a single market, and has successively entered international markets including Europe, the United States and the Middle East, with its overseas business running smoothly.
Longquan's foreign trade enterprises have taken the initiative to expand growth space with an open attitude and actively responded to changes in the international market, which is inseparable from the government's supportive "care". Since this year, facing the new situation in international trade, Longquan City has upgraded its enterprise-friendly policy system, substantially increased subsidies for enterprises participating in exhibitions, and launched a "smart policy selection supermarket" through the "Longcai Tong" policy implementation platform, enabling direct and fast access to enterprise-supporting funds. In the first half of the year, a total of over 12 million yuan in foreign trade and economic support funds was disbursed, benefiting more than 80 enterprise instances.
At the same time, the city has actively built platforms to help enterprises "set sail for overseas markets". It has organized enterprises to participate in key domestic and foreign exhibitions such as the Chinese Brand Goods Exhibition (Central and Eastern Europe) and the Ningbo Consumer Goods Fair, securing intended orders of over 26 million yuan. It has deeply explored the Belt and Road and RCEP markets, and promoted local enterprises to establish stable cooperative relations with countries along the Belt and Road and RCEP member states through policy guidance and resource docking, further consolidating the foundation of foreign trade. The city has expanded the coverage of export credit insurance, guided enterprises in handling entry-exit facilitation services such as foreign merchant invitation letters and APEC Business Travel Cards, and strengthened industrial risk monitoring at the same time, building a closed-loop processing mechanism of "demand-responsibility-implementation" to ensure the steady development of enterprises going global.
At present, Longquan is continuously optimizing its foreign trade ecosystem with more open platforms, more targeted services and more practical policies. With the improvement of product quality and efficiency, diversified layout in international markets and continuous improvement of the risk prevention and control system, the global competitiveness of "Made in Longquan" will be further unleashed, injecting sustained impetus into the high-quality development of the regional economy.
